| Coffee Costa Rica and coffee are almost synonyms for the common European. The difficult cultivation of the sensitive coffee plant is however unknown. |

| Cloud forrest Next to rain and dry forrest, the cloud forrest is the third tropical forrest habitat. With the help of bridges and scaffolds one can discover the various layers of the forrest in Costa Rica. |

| Panamericana This famous road, leading from Alaska to Cape Horn, is also crossing Costa Rica being the most important north to south route of the country. Over all traffic customs are endurable. If you are used to drive in mediteranian countries you will survive here as well. However 4 wheel drive is highly recommended sometimes. |

| Volcano There are several active volcanoes in small Costa Rica. Our tour lead us to three of them : Rincon de la Vieja, Arenal und Irazu. On the picture you can see a sulphur stinking mud pool at Rincon de la Vieja. |

| Public transport Busses in Costa Rica are in general of a senior age and - so it apprears - always crowded. Everything looking new and empty transports tourists. |
||
| Fauna To get the larger mammals of Costa Rica in the wild in front of the camera is quite difficult. This Coatimundi adopted the food source tourist and thanks it with posing for shots. The second picture shows two Coatimundies. |

| Vogelwelt There are also toucans visible in the wild in Costa Rica but here in the vet clinic taking pictures is much easier. The second picture shows a Green parrot in the clinic. |

| Flora Costa Rica is a plants paradise. The various climate conditions produce a vast biodiversity. The habitat power line however was new to me. We learned: Bromelia also grows on transmission lines. The second picture also shows a wonderful and exotic blossom. |

Religion Due to the spanish invasion Costa Rica is catholic through and through.

| Inventiveness With humour and ideas the Ticos in Costa Rica bring out the best from their bad economic situation. They are fully aware of the power of advertising and marketing. |
